Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition Meeting

Beechwood Friends and Neighbors:  The February Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition meeting will be on Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 PM at the Thomas Ryan Community Center, 530 Webster Ave.   During the 2011 calendar year the Zoning Board approved 89% of its cases and the Planning Commission approved 96% of its cases. Members of the Zoning Department will be presenting about the process used when an applicant files for a special permit, variance, etc. We will be debriefed on what the Zoning Board and Planning Commission use as criteria to accept or deny applications. In addition, we would like to know how a neighborhood group could better support or oppose applications within their neighborhood.   We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday at 7:00!

January 12 th, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

Dear Beechwood friends and neighbors:  Rochester City Council will host a forum on its practice of selling property tax liens to a private out-of-state company, ATFS, as an alternative to foreclosure.  The forum will take place at Council Chambers, City Hall, 30 Church Street, on Thursday, January 12 at 5:30 p.m.  If you would like to speak, call 428-7538 to sign up, or just sign up that evening. 

January 4 th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

January 4, 2012.  The Beechwood monthly meeting for January has been changed to Wednesday, January 4 (instead of our usual Thursday) in order to secure Dr. Bolgen Vargas, Interim Superintendent of the RCSD.  The meeting will be held at the Thomas Ryan Center and will begin at 7:00 p,m.   We look forward to seeing you there!
