Kyle Crandall
President
Kyle and his wife Ginger purchased a home in Beechwood in 1999. They are committed to the Beechwood neighborhood and have raised their three children in the neighborhood. Kyle has served in two different stints as President and is committed to working together with all citizens, good businesses, organizations, and City/County government leaders to see the neighborhood become a safe and desirable place for families to live. In addition, Kyle teaches at East High School and coaches the Varsity Baseball team at East and the Varsity Basketball team at SOTA. Kyle and his family also fellowship at Bethel Christian Fellowship.

Tammy Westbrook
Tammy Westbrook is in her fifth year as a Resident Ambassador with Connected Communities. In her roles, she is focused on community wellness, which includes community gardens, resource coordination, environmental justice, and much more. Tammy also serves on the Housing Committee for Connected Communities; she is passionate about helping people become homeowners, as she has been a homeowner in Beechwood for 32 years. In 2019, she was accepted to speak at Communities Joined in Action, a national conference in New Orleans, for her work. When she is not working; she enjoys puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her family. Tammy is a mother of four and has eight beautiful grandchildren.
Beth Sieber
Co Vice President
After years of searching for a house and a neighborhood that felt like home, Beth’s family was led to Beechwood in 2004. The neighborhood diversity in race, economics, and ages is the same as the one she grew up in, near Pittsburgh. In years past, she was Director at the Webster Avenue Family Resource Center, so her connection and affinity for this neighborhood extends over two decades. Beth’s children are graduates of the City School District. Now legislative staff for City Council, Beth has worked as a non-profit administrator for most of her career, with particular passions around the alleviation of poverty and inequity, and the protection of our natural resources. Beth values the beauty of our neighborhood’s older homes and tree-lined, walkable streets. She believes in the importance of community and that a sense of place contributes to neighborhood connections. Serving as a neighborhood representative on Main Street redesign, led Beth to serve on the Neighborhood Coalition Board. She is thrilled to see that design coming to life, with separated bike lanes! Beth is honored to have served on the Board previously and continues to be committed to working with neighbors to make Beechwood the best place that it can be for all of its neighbors. She’s also excited to be walking the neighborhood with a newly-formed group of residents! Beth is not currently serving on any other local boards. She is on a committee for the local Democratic party and serves on the Alumni Board and Diversity Task Force for Maryville College, TN, her alma mater.

Hector Rodriguez
As a member of the Beechwood neighborhood and a resident of the City of Rochester for over 30 years, Doreen Young has been committed to creating a safe and healthy community for raising her/our children and supporting our families. Through her work as a board member and her leadership positions at community organizations such as The Historic Parsells Church, Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition, Freedom Scholars Learning Center, School 33 PTA, CLT City Roots and the Beechwood Greenhouse Collaborative, she has been involved in issues of education, housing, health, and community development. Her interest in business development and training emerged through courses with the Urban League and Colgate Divinity. She has been a trainer and facilitator for many youth programs, and developed her own business focused on positive youth development. Doreen brings her knowledge of families, health education, and community development to her long term active involvement in organizations she is committed to working with, such as Foodlink Curbside Market Ambassador program, Food Policy Council Planning Team, Common Ground Health– SACE (ENGOAL), Healthi Kids, PlayROCS/Play Streets, ROC NPU, and Children’s Institute- Ready, Set, Grow. She is also an IRB certified researcher through U of R.
Shane Wiegand
Secretary
Shane Wiegand is the Co-Director of Our Local History at Coordinated Care Services Inc. a teacher-led initiative to educate our community on our shared history of racist policies and resistance. He formerly was a fourth-grade teacher in the Rush Henrietta Central School District. He attended SUNY Geneseo and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education and a Master’s degree in Childhood Multicultural Education. Shane and his wife Jennie have lived in Beechwood since 2016. Shane chairs the Connected Communities Education Committee and sits on the Connected Communities' Board.
Agnes Perez
Agnes has been a proud resident of the Beechwood neighborhood for over 40 years. An engineer by training, she currently works as a substitute teacher in the Rochester City School District. In addition to her professional roles, Agnes coordinates a food pantry through her church to support city residents facing food insecurity and emergency needs. She is honored and excited for the opportunity to serve her community once again.
Matt Smith
Matt has lived in Beechwood since April, 2001 and has served on our board since 2011. Originally from Long Island, Beechwood’s friendly neighbors, density and diversity remind him of the tight knit neighborhood he grew up in.

Marion Hunte-Robinson
Marion moved to Rochester in December 1989, first living on Parsells Avenue before settling on Bay Street in 1996. She began providing daycare services in 1992 and has been dedicated to serving the community ever since. Since 2014, she has worked at the Ryan Center, previously served as a lunch monitor at School #33 for three years, and currently works for the Rochester City School District while also serving as a Foodlink Mobile Pantry Ambassador. A longtime member and volunteer of the Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition, Marion also served on the Board of Directors. She provided daycare for School #33’s PTO/PTA, coordinated City of Rochester Clean Sweep sites, and founded RISE3 (Respectful, Intelligent, Successful Entrepreneurs) in 2004. She also established the Mario S. Robinson Memorial Scholarship in honor of her son, recognizing outstanding community achievements. Marion is an active member of Covenant United Church, where she created a public memorial garden for the community. She has worked extensively with youth to improve literacy, cooking, and healthy life skills, and has years of experience supporting parent and youth groups—including early childhood and pre-K programs. She is also certified in food safety management.
John Gleason
John is multi-decade Beechwood resident. He's one of our longest serving board members.
Rebecca Fuss
I have lived in the Beechwood neighborhood for 37 years, both as a renter and a homeowner. I currently live on Grand Avenue with my husband, Tim, and we have one grown daughter. I am in my second year as a board member of the Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition. I am also a Senior Block Ambassador for Connected Communities. I am a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and serve as a Covenant Table dinner greeter on Monday evenings. Come on over for a hot meal and to say hello. My career is in fundraising. I write grant proposals and advise small non-profit organizations as they create fundraising plans to achieve their mission. You will frequently see me walking or riding my bicycle through the neighborhood, often to the Sully Branch Library, the Nieghborhood Hub, or New City Cafe. In addition to reading, my hobbies are singing in Concentus Women’s Chorus, knitting, and learning German.

James Kegler
James grew up in the Beechwood Neighborhood and shares a deep commitment to seeing the neighborhood grow. He is accomplished recording and spoken word artist.
